A DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) is similar to a bank account, but it is controlled by multiple people who act as decision-makers. With more people involved in the DAO, there is greater control over what is shared within it. Any user can launch a DAO with one photo (Your Pixel NFT token) and one utility token (Your Pixel Utility token) locked against a specific hashtag. These hashtags represent DAOs.
How does our Groups (DAO) application work?
From the five tabs on the Pixelate home screen tap on the folder icon.
All the Groups that you are part of are listed at one place. The ones that you admin appear on top. Click on group named after your username.
Be default all your minted NFT photos appear under #username. It requires your photo to be bought by at least of 5 #hashtags(Groups) to be minted as a NFT. You can use this interface to withdraw value and add it to wallet app.
Click on either add photos button or click the camera icon at the bottom centre to open saved gallery.
A Decentralised application to enable people to share value. Groups help categorise photos into different genres. Each hashtag will carry its own micro-economy, where the average value of all photos is shared by members. A few people are allowed admin rights to maintain a gateway. You are the admin of #username, and you can launch and admin as many #hashtags as you want. You set the rules; just upload one photo and one utility token to your #custom. A new Group is formed and a DAO established, each person liking, commenting, sharing or saving the photo gets a portion of the utility tokens locked inside the group.
